Theraflu Multi-Symptom + Nighttime Severe Cold & Cough is a dual-action cold relief system containing 24 total powder packets: 18 daytime Multi-Symptom packets in Green Tea & Honey Lemon flavor and 6 Nighttime Severe Cold & Cough packets in Honey Lemon infused with Chamomile & White Tea flavors. Each daytime packet contains acetaminophen 500 mg (pain reliever/fever reducer), dextromethorphan HBr 20 mg (cough suppressant), and phenylephrine HCl 10 mg (nasal decongestant) to temporarily relieve cold symptoms including minor aches and pains, sore throat pain, headache, nasal and sinus congestion, and cough due to minor throat and bronchial irritation. Each nighttime packet contains acetaminophen 650 mg (pain reliever/fever reducer), diphenhydramine HCl 25 mg (antihistamine/cough suppressant), and phenylephrine HCl 10 mg (nasal decongestant) to relieve the same symptoms plus runny nose, sneezing, and itchy nose or throat.

The powder packets dissolve in 8 oz of hot water to create a soothing hot beverage that should be consumed within 10-15 minutes. For adults and children 12 years and older, take one daytime packet every 4 hours as needed, not exceeding 6 daytime packets in 24 hours. Nighttime packets should be taken every 4 hours as needed, not exceeding 5 nighttime packets in 24 hours. Do not take daytime and nighttime products at the same time, and do not exceed 5 total doses in any 24-hour period.

Inactive ingredients include acesulfame potassium, anhydrous citric acid, aspartame (contains phenylalanine 20 mg per daytime packet and 13 mg per nighttime packet), D&C yellow no. 10, FD&C blue no. 1, FD&C red no. 40, flavors, maltodextrin, silicon dioxide, sodium citrate, sucrose, and tribasic calcium phosphate. Each daytime packet contains potassium 10 mg and sodium 19 mg; each nighttime packet contains potassium 10 mg and sodium 23 mg.
