Costco's Fall Mum is a potted chrysanthemum sold in a 10-inch, 2.0-gallon container. Available in assorted autumnal colors including red, orange, yellow, purple, and white, these hardy fall bloomers are a seasonal staple for porches, entryways, and garden beds. Buds are typically tightly closed at purchase and open fully within one to two weeks, producing a full, lush display that can last through late fall and into early winter with proper care.

These mums thrive in high light and require regular watering at the base of the plant rather than overhead. Water once the soil begins to dry out. Mature plants reach 10 to 20 inches in height and 12 to 24 inches in spread, making them ideal for containers or planted directly in landscape beds. Cold tolerant and long lasting, they are suitable for USDA hardiness zones 7–9, where they can overwinter as perennials with adequate mulching.

To plant, remove the pot and place the root ball in a garden bed or container without disturbing the roots. Cover with potting or garden soil and press firmly around the base. Deadhead spent blooms regularly to encourage continued growth. Not for human or animal consumption.
