Armstrong Family Winery's The Scotsman Syrah is a 100% Syrah sourced from Discovery Vineyard in the Horse Heaven Hills AVA of Washington State, sold in a 750ml bottle. The Discovery Vineyard sits on a bluff above the Columbia River at 550 feet elevation with a south-facing slope, providing excellent air drainage and optimal ripening conditions for the fruit.

On the nose, the wine offers notes of boysenberry, blueberry, raspberry, baking spices, and a hint of olive, reflecting the classic, restrained Old-World style that Armstrong Family Winery has championed since 2011. The wine is a tribute to 19th-century Scottish viticulturist James Busby, credited with introducing Syrah to Australia. It pairs exceptionally well with lamb, roast beef, and ribs.

The Scotsman Syrah earned Best of Show honors at the 2020 Great Northwest Invitational Wine Competition, cementing its reputation as one of Washington State's standout Syrah expressions.
