Pahlmeyer Jayson Red is a rich and approachable Napa Valley red wine from the acclaimed Pahlmeyer winery. The Jayson line was born in 1993 when founder Jayson Pahlmeyer gathered legendary winemakers Helen Turley, Bob Levy, and Randy Dunn to blend the 1992 vintage, creating a wine meant to showcase a more intimate, opulent expression of Pahlmeyer's mountain fruit heritage.

Winemaker Katie Vogt selects lots from Pahlmeyer's mountain vineyard portfolio and blends them with foothill and valley floor fruit to craft a wine that is rich, lively, and complex. The blend typically features Merlot along with other Bordeaux-style varietals, delivering notes of dark plum, raspberry, and black currant with hints of caramel and butterscotch. Grapes are hand-picked and hand-sorted before fermentation, then aged in French oak barrels for approximately 16 months to develop depth and texture.

The result is a wine that is opulent and complex, built to enjoy upon release yet capable of further aging. Sold in cases of 6 bottles.
