The Bulova Precisionist 98B312 is a bold men's chronograph watch featuring a black IP-coated stainless steel and forged carbon case measuring 46.5mm in diameter. The black dial is equipped with luminous hands and index hour markers, a date display between the 4 and 5 o'clock positions, and an eight-hand chronograph complication capable of measuring time to 1/1000th of a second across 60-second, 12-hour, and millisecond subdials. A curved mineral crystal protects the dial, and the case is secured with a screw-back case back.

At its heart is Bulova's proprietary Precisionist movement, driven by a three-prong quartz crystal oscillating at 262,144 Hz — eight times the frequency of standard quartz movements — delivering exceptional accuracy with a smooth, continuous sweep of the second hand rather than the typical ticking motion. The watch is paired with a yellow FKM rubber and black nylon strap featuring yellow accents and a double-press deployant closure, and is water resistant to 300 meters (30 ATM), making it suitable for serious water sports and diving activities.
