L'Ecole No. 41 Frenchtown Red Blend is a distinctive Washington State wine from the Columbia Valley, produced by L'Ecole No. 41, a family-owned artisan winery founded in 1983 in Walla Walla Valley. The wine pays homage to Frenchtown, Walla Walla Valley's first settlement, established by French Canadians in the early 1800s who built a thriving viticulture and winemaking community by the 1860s.
This Bordeaux-Rhône inspired blend brings together eight grape varieties: 45% Merlot, 25% Cabernet Sauvignon, 19% Syrah, 5% Grenache, 4% Malbec, 1% Cabernet Franc, and 1% Mourvèdre. The wine offers fresh and floral aromas featuring raspberries, blackberry tea, gardenias, lilacs, and spun sugar, with tart black cherry and lemon zest flavors on the palate. Gentle, harmonious tannins and bright acidity provide exceptional balance. ABV: 14.5%.
