Santa Teresa 1796 is a Venezuelan super premium triple aged Solera rum crafted by the Vollmer family's Hacienda Santa Teresa. Created in 1996 to commemorate the hacienda's bicentennial, this rum features blends aged up to 35 years in bourbon oak barrels through a unique three-stage process: traditional separate aging of light, heavy, and pot-still rums; Solera cask aging through a cascading system of four rows of Hogshead barrels; and a final aging in large French Limousin oak vats.

The rum presents an amber red color with rich, thick tears. The nose offers fruity sweet aromas with notes of oak, while the palate delivers a complex taste of nuts, leather, vanilla, cinnamon, dark chocolate, prunes, and hints of honey and pepper. Every bottle contains a portion of the original Ron Madre first blended in 1992, as the Solera casks have never been fully emptied. Santa Teresa 1796 has a very low sugar content of only 3 grams per 750ml bottle and has earned over 100 medals in prestigious spirits competitions worldwide.
