Dos Hombres Espadin Mezcal is a small-batch artisanal mezcal made from 100% Espadin agave, hand-selected from the hillsides of San Luis del Rio, a small village in Oaxaca, Mexico. The brand was created by Breaking Bad stars Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul in collaboration with Master Mezcalero Gregorio Velasco Luis, and is imported by Dos Hombres, Manhasset, NY.

The Espadin agave plants are grown for approximately six years before harvest. Production follows traditional artesanal methods: the agave hearts are roasted in volcanic stone earth ovens using firewood, then milled with a tahona (stone wheel), fermented in wooden vats, and double-distilled. This process imparts a characteristic subtle smokiness alongside vibrant fruit notes.

On the nose, the mezcal opens with tart green apple skins and caramelized agave sugars, followed by hints of ripe mango and local Oaxacan "zapote" fruit. The palate delivers bright fruity sweetness up front, transitioning to a light, smooth smoke with notes of wood, white pepper, and a touch of cinnamon. The finish is long and warming, with lingering black pepper and earthen undertones. Bottled at 84 proof (42% ABV). NOM O637-X.
