The 8" Jade Plant (Crassula ovata) is an easy-to-grow succulent houseplant native to South Africa, also known as the money plant or friendship plant. This compact evergreen features thick, glossy, egg-shaped leaves that are green and fleshy, typically edged or tinged with red when grown with sufficient light. The plant stores water in its leaves, stems, and roots, making it extremely drought-tolerant and perfect for busy plant owners who prefer low-maintenance greenery.

Jade plants thrive in bright indirect to direct sunlight, requiring at least 4-6 hours of light daily for optimal growth and the characteristic reddish leaf edges. They prefer well-drained soil and should be watered sparingly, allowing the soil to dry completely between waterings.
