The Google Nest Learning Thermostat is a Wi-Fi-enabled smart thermostat that learns your preferred temperature settings and automatically adjusts throughout the day to optimize energy usage. It features a high-resolution LCD display with a black metal ring and is ENERGY STAR certified, designed to pay for itself in less than two years through energy savings.

The thermostat includes Auto-Schedule which learns your habits to program itself, Auto-Away which turns down the temperature when no one is home using built-in sensors and phone location, and Energy History providing insights into your consumption. The Nest Leaf indicator guides you towards energy-saving temperatures. Far Sight technology lights up the display from across the room to show current temperature or time.

This package includes one Nest Temperature Sensor, which helps ensure a specific room maintains the desired temperature. The sensor uses wireless Bluetooth Low Energy connectivity with a CR2 3V lithium battery providing up to 2-year battery life. It measures 1.9 inches in diameter by 0.8 inches in height and weighs 1.6 oz. The sensor can be assigned to specific times of day or comfort settings in the Nest app, allowing your thermostat to prioritize temperature control in that particular room. Up to six sensors can be added to a single thermostat.

The thermostat works with 95% of 24-Volt heating and cooling systems including gas, electric, forced air, heat pump, radiant, oil, hot water, solar, and geothermal. It can be controlled remotely from anywhere using the Nest app on your smartphone, tablet, or computer. The device automatically receives software updates via Wi-Fi to ensure it has the latest features and improvements. The thermostat can send safety alerts if your home reaches dangerously hot or cold temperatures, and when paired with Nest Protect, it can turn off your furnace if carbon monoxide is detected.
