Casas del Bosque Gran Reserva Cabernet Sauvignon is a 100% Cabernet Sauvignon from the Maipo Valley in Chile, one of the country's most celebrated regions for this variety. Founded in 1993 by Juan Cúneo Solari, Casas del Bosque has long prioritized quality winemaking in a region prized for its alluvial soils and ideal growing conditions for Cabernet Sauvignon.
The wine displays a deep purple-red color with aromas of cassis and mint, complemented by notes of dried fig, raspberry, vanilla, and spice from oak aging. On the palate, the tannins are ripe and well integrated, delivering a dense, concentrated wine with good length — intense and complex yet elegant. Aged for 12 months in French oak barrels (20% first use, 80% up to fourth use), it achieves 14% alcohol with 1.9 g/l residual sugar and a pH of 3.75.
This wine pairs exceptionally well with fatty meats such as grilled sirloin, T-bone steak, or leg of lamb. It also complements buffalo cheeses with prosciutto and honey, or roasted root vegetables with earthy, sweet notes. Cellaring potential of 3 to 5 years. Rated 4.1 on Vivino. Available as a case of 12 x 750ML bottles.
