Hennessy XO is the original Extra Old cognac, created by Maurice Hennessy in 1870 and representing the emblematic icon of the Hennessy house. This exceptional cognac is a blend of over 100 eaux-de-vie aged for a minimum of 10 years, with some components aged up to 30 years in French Limousin oak barrels. The eaux-de-vie are crafted from Ugni Blanc grapes sourced from the prestigious Grande Champagne, Petite Champagne, Borderies, and Fins Bois appellations.

The cognac presents a deep dark amber color and delivers a complex sensory experience described as seven flavor chapters: sweet notes of candied fruit, rising heat from oak aging, spicy edge with pepper and chocolate, flowing flame of warmth, chocolate lull with rich dark chocolate flavors, wood crunches of oak and vanilla, and an infinite echo of endless finish. The palate reveals rich dried fruit, prune and raisin with burnt notes, cocoa, tonka beans, dry Brazil nuts, oak and leather, enlivened with cinnamon, nutmeg and black pepper spice. 40% alcohol by volume.
