Novolin 70/30 is a combination human insulin for injection manufactured by Novo Nordisk using recombinant DNA (rDNA) technology. Each milliliter contains 100 units of insulin (U-100) in a 10mL multiple-dose vial, providing 1,000 total units per vial. The 70/30 formulation consists of 70% NPH (Neutral Protamine Hagedorn) intermediate-acting human insulin isophane suspension and 30% Regular (short-acting) human insulin injection.

Novolin 70/30 is indicated for the treatment of diabetes mellitus to improve glycemic control in adults. The dual-phase action provides both a rapid onset from the regular insulin component and extended coverage from the NPH component, helping manage blood glucose levels both at mealtime and throughout the day. It is administered subcutaneously (under the skin) via injection.

This product requires refrigeration (36°F–46°F / 2°C–8°C) and must not be frozen. Vials in use may be kept at room temperature below 77°F (25°C) for up to 42 days. Inspect the vial before each use — the suspension should appear uniformly cloudy after gentle mixing. This is an over-the-counter (OTC) product available through Costco Pharmacy.
