The whiskey spends its first 18 years maturing in ex-Bourbon barrels before being finished for a minimum of 6 months in four distinct cask types: ex-Oloroso Sherry Butts, ex-Port Pipes, and ex-Madeira Drums. This multi-cask finish imparts a delightful combination of caramelized fruit, rich oak, and baked apple notes. On the nose and palate, expect smooth and mellow cinnamon, apple, and vanilla oak aromas. The finish is rich and warming with lingering malty sweetness intertwined with cinnamon, baked apple, and biscuit sweetness.
