Grgich Hills Estate Zinfandel is a celebrated Napa Valley red wine crafted from estate-grown grapes by one of California's most iconic wineries, founded by legendary winemaker Miljenko "Mike" Grgich. The winery practices biodynamic and organic farming across its estate vineyards, producing wines that express authentic Napa Valley terroir.

The Zinfandel is grown on a 34-acre vineyard above Calistoga with northeast exposure, capturing abundant morning sun while remaining shaded from the intense afternoon heat. Gravelly loam soils provide excellent drainage and stress conditions ideal for Zinfandel. Fermentation is conducted using indigenous yeast, preserving natural complexity and a distinct sense of place.

The wine opens with inviting aromas of cherry, raspberry, blackberry, cranberry, and blood orange. On the palate, it delivers mixed red berry flavors with lively tannins and well-integrated acidity. The long finish reveals spicy undertones and a bright freshness that supports extended cellaring. Alcohol content is approximately 14.7%. The 2018 vintage earned 91 points from Natalie MacLean and 90 points from James Suckling.
