Rock River Cattle Co. Steakhouse Beef Sirloin Tri-Tip is a premium marinated beef cut sold by the pound at Costco. The tri-tip gets its name from its distinctive triangular shape, which allows it to cook evenly and retain its natural juiciness throughout. Hand-trimmed and tumble-marinated in a savory Burgundy wine seasoning blend, this cut is celebrated for its exceptional tenderness, rich marbling, and bold beefy flavor. It is a Product of the USA, minimally processed, and free of artificial ingredients.
This versatile cut can be prepared in a variety of ways. For oven cooking, preheat to 350°F and roast uncovered for 50 to 60 minutes. In an air fryer, cook at 350°F for approximately 40 minutes total, flipping halfway through. On the grill, sear over direct high heat for 5 minutes per side then finish over indirect heat for 10 to 15 minutes per pound. For smoking, cook at 225°F for 2.5 to 3 hours. Cook to an internal temperature of 160°F and rest 15 to 20 minutes before slicing. Chef's tip: the tri-tip has two different grain directions — slice on the dividing line first, then slice each half against its respective grain.
