For stovetop preparation, bring 1/2 inch of water to a boil, remove vegetables from the bag and add to boiling water, cover and cook for 3-5 minutes until tender but still crisp, then drain and season to taste. For microwave preparation, do not pierce or open the steamer bag, gently massage the package to separate the product before placing in microwave, place the steamer bag seam side down in the center of the microwave, heat on HIGH for 5-6 minutes, then carefully remove from microwave and let stand for one minute before opening. Be cautious as contents will be hot.
