Fresh Wild Black Cod Fillet is premium sablefish (also known as butterfish) harvested from the pristine waters off Alaska and the Washington/Oregon Coast. This sustainably caught fish is certified by the Marine Stewardship Council (MSC) and Ocean Wise. Black cod is a coveted favorite of foodies and high-end restaurants worldwide, prized for its rich, sweet, buttery taste and velvety texture. The fillets are skin-on and previously frozen for quality preservation.
Black cod has one of the highest omega-3 contents of any fish in the sea, with white, buttery soft flesh that is very mild in flavor. Its creamy texture makes it ideal for quick high-temperature cooking methods like grilling, broiling, searing, or air frying. The fish is cleaned and iced immediately onboard fishing vessels to retain ocean-fresh flavor and delicate texture.
