Château Maillet is a prestigious small-production red wine from the Pomerol appellation of Bordeaux, France, produced by the Moze Berthon family with consulting winemaker Hubert de Bouard of Château Angélus. First released with the 2015 vintage, the wine draws on a 4.5-hectare vineyard planted to 95% Merlot and 5% Cabernet Franc on terroir of gravel, clay, and sand soil near Château Bon Pasteur, close to the Saint-Émilion border.

The wine is crafted using micro-vinification techniques, vinified entirely in barrel, with malolactic fermentation and aging completed in 100% new French oak. Yields are kept deliberately low, resulting in production of only a few hundred cases per vintage. Across vintages, the wine consistently earns scores in the 91–95 point range from major critics, with notable praise for its opulent, hedonistic character.

Expect aromas of flowers, dark plums, black cherries, licorice, chocolate, truffles, and espresso. On the palate, the wine is rich, supple, and creamy with silky, velvety tannins and a long, chocolate-tinged finish. Best served at 15.5°C (60°F), ideally after 1–2 hours of decanting for young vintages. Peak drinking window is typically 6–20 years after the vintage. Pairs beautifully with beef, lamb, duck, game, roast chicken, mushrooms, and rich braised dishes.
