Château La Coste Rosé is an organic wine from the Coteaux d'Aix-en-Provence region, crafted at a unique wine estate just outside Aix-en-Provence that has been producing wine since Roman times. This certified organic rosé is made using a blend of Grenache, Syrah, and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes grown across 200 hectares of vineyards featuring cypresses, stone pines, olive trees, and oaks.
The wine displays a beautiful pale peach color with a complex bouquet of citrus, peach, pear, and exotic fruits, along with notes of bruised apples and bubblegum on the nose. Light on its feet and easy to drink with bright lemony characteristics, this rosé offers beautiful volumes in the mouth with fat and round textures, well balanced with a refreshingly bitter finish. The wine ensures freshness on the palate combined with a nice roundness, ideal to refresh sunny meals.
Château La Coste received the "Organic Farming" label in 2009, acknowledging the estate's respect for the land and practicing farming methods in perfect harmony with nature. The estate applies biodynamic principles and prioritizes quality over quantity, with wine-making taking place in a state-of-the-art vat room equipped to bring out the fruit's natural flavors and aromas.
Pairs well with kasha galette with wild smoked salmon and caviar, pork loin with lemon and Niçoise-style zucchini, semi-cooked albacore tuna with radish and strawberry vinaigrette, and artichokes Barigoule-style with virgin sauce.
