The blend sources premium Arabica beans from Central America and Indonesia, hand-picked from small, independent growers. Moxie Java roasts the coffee at their Boise, Idaho roasteria using a Sivetz Air Roaster, a fluidized-bed system that levitates the beans on hot air during roasting. Unlike drum roasters, this method keeps beans in constant motion so they never scorch on hot surfaces, resulting in more uniform heat transference, a cleaner and more aromatic roast, and the elimination of bitter-tasting tars. The coffee is roasted in small batches for consistency and quality control.
