Redhook Brewery Big Ballard Imperial IPA is a bold tribute to the Seattle craft brewing movement. Redhook was founded in 1981 in a converted transmission shop in Seattle's Ballard neighborhood, and this flagship Imperial IPA honors those roots. Sold at Costco as a 4-pack of 16oz cans brewed in Redmond, Washington.
Big Ballard pours with a deep golden body and delivers a bold, aggressive hop profile built from Chinook, Cascade, Vista, Centennial, Mosaic, and Eureka hops, producing vivid flavors of citrus, pine, and tropical fruit. Underlying Caramel 40 malt adds sweetness that rounds out the bitterness, while the finish remains crisp, dry, and marked by lingering hops. At 8.6% ABV and 66 IBUs, this is a full-strength Imperial IPA with serious hop character.
