Wild Turkey Rare Breed Rye is a small batch, barrel proof, non-chill filtered Kentucky Straight Rye Whiskey crafted by Master Distiller Eddie Russell at Wild Turkey Distillery. Bottled directly from the barrel at 112.2 proof (56.1% ABV), it represents one of the few American distilleries' permanent super-premium rye offerings and is the rye counterpart to the award-winning Rare Breed Bourbon.

This exceptional whiskey is a blend of 4-, 6-, and 8-year-old Kentucky Straight Rye barrels, aged in charred oak and left uncut and unfiltered. The mash bill consists of 51% rye, 37% corn, and 12% malted barley. On the nose, it opens with sweet caramel apple followed by rich layers of honey, vanilla, rye grain spice, and charred oak. The palate delivers bold rye spice, orange peel, baking spice, and sweet caramel, while the finish is smooth and drawn-out with lingering spice, dried fruit, and a pleasant fading warmth. It can be enjoyed neat, on the rocks, or in cocktails.

Rare Breed Rye has earned significant accolades, including a 95-point Gold Medal at the 2020 New York International Spirits Competition, a 97-point Finalist ranking in the 2020 Ultimate Spirits Challenge (Top 100 Spirits), and a Double Gold Medal at the 2021 San Francisco World Spirits Competition.
