Giornata is a California winery founded by Brian Terrizzi, whose Italian heritage and winemaking expertise come together in the Paso Robles AVA to produce Italian-varietal wines with distinctive Old World character. This Barbera is crafted from 100% Barbera grapes sourced from two vineyard sites in the Creston District and Shandon areas of Paso Robles, vinified through natural fermentation and aged in large-format Garbellotto casks and older oak barrels to preserve the variety's vibrant fruit character.

In the glass, the wine shows a glowing bright magenta color with aromatics of wild strawberries, boysenberry, sour cherry, and crushed rocks. The palate is lively and crunchy with zippy acidity and low tannins, characteristic of the Barbera variety. At 14% ABV, it is a versatile, food-friendly red wine certified vegetarian, vegan, and sustainable. The winemaker recommends pairing with pan-fried tuna, sashimi, seared summer vegetables, pasta dishes, and charcuterie. Contains sulphites.
