Michter's US★1 Kentucky Straight Rye is a single barrel, limited-release whiskey distilled and bottled in Kentucky. Made from select American rye grain that is sheared to maximize the extraction of flavor from the grain, each bottle reflects Master Distiller Dan McKee's exacting commitment to quality at every level of the Michter's range. The whiskey is aged in fire-charred, new American white oak barrels in a heated warehouse.

On the nose, expect aromas of light spice, black pepper, citrus, and marmalade with hints of butterscotch. The palate opens light and semi-sweet, revealing notes of vanilla, caramel, and nut, before transitioning to drier, earthier notes of leather and oak. Rye spice builds on the finish for a warm, smooth close.

Bottled at 84.8 proof (42.4% ABV), it is ideal enjoyed neat, over a large ice ball, or as the foundation for classic cocktails such as an Old Fashioned or Manhattan.
