Laws Whiskey House San Luis Valley Straight Rye Whiskey is a grain-to-glass craft rye whiskey produced in Denver, Colorado by A.D. Laws Whiskey House. Distilled from 100% heirloom rye grain grown at 7,400 feet elevation in Colorado's San Luis Valley by the Cody family, who have cultivated this low-yield, semi-wild rye variety since the 1930s. The whiskey is aged 4+ years in new 53-gallon charred oak barrels and bottled at 47.5% ABV (95 proof).

On the nose, the whiskey is floral and perfumed with notes of baking spice and orange oil. The palate delivers flavors of black tea, sweet mint, salted toffee, orange peel, and stewed fig, finishing with a radiant green peppercorn spice. Laws uses time-intensive sour mash fermentation and distills every drop in-house, embodying a "no shortcuts" philosophy rooted in Colorado terroir.
