Brother's Bond Straight Bourbon is a four-grain, high-rye whiskey crafted by Vampire Diaries co-stars and real-life friends Ian Somerhalder and Paul Wesley. A passion project more than ten years in the making, it was released in 2021 and has earned widespread acclaim for its smooth, complex character.

The mash bill consists of 65% corn, 22% rye, wheat, and barley — all sourced from American farms and crushed using a hammer mill. The grains are cooked with limestone-filtered glacier water from a natural aquifer, which helps neutralize acidity in the sour mash. After three days of fermentation using a proprietary yeast strain, the spirit is distilled in a copper column still and transferred into American white oak barrels at 120 proof. Deep char #4 staves and #2 heads allow the bourbon to slowly develop its signature profile before being bottled at 80 proof (40% ABV).

On the nose, the bourbon opens with banana bread, fruit, walnut, honey, orange zest, and rye spice. The palate delivers a balanced blend of sweetness, toasted cereal grain, honeysuckle, dried fruit, black tea, and spice, finishing with a satisfyingly oaky warmth. It is designed to be approachable neat while holding up equally well in classic cocktails like an Old Fashioned or a Highball.
