Casa Emma Chianti Classico Gran Selezione D.O.C.G. is a prestigious single-vineyard Tuscan red wine from the Chianti Classico region of Italy, sold in a 750ML bottle. This Costco offering is part of a 12-bottle case format.

Crafted entirely from Sangiovese grapes grown on hillside vineyards with limestone, rock, and clay soils at approximately 480 meters above sea level, this wine exemplifies the Gran Selezione designation — the highest tier within the Chianti Classico appellation. The grapes are trained using a Spurred Cordon system, and the wine undergoes vinification and malolactic fermentation in oak barrels. It is aged for 36 months in 10-hectoliter barrels, followed by 12 months of bottle aging, giving it exceptional depth and complexity.

The wine presents a dark ruby red color with an intensely aromatic nose of blackberry and balsamic notes. On the palate, it offers excellent structure with elegant, well-integrated tannins balanced by lively acidity and an extremely persistent finish. It has an estimated aging plateau of 20 years, making it suitable both for immediate enjoyment and long-term cellaring. Alcohol content is 14% by volume.
