Marco Bonfante Moscato d'Asti is a DOCG-certified lightly sparkling white wine from Piedmont, Italy, crafted from 100% Moscato grapes grown in calcareous clay marl soils using the Guyot training system. Harvested in the second half of September at yields of 65 hectoliters per hectare, the grapes are gently pressed and fermented in temperature-controlled tanks at 16–18°C (60–64°F) until reaching approximately 5.5% alcohol by volume. The fine, elegant perlage develops naturally from CO2 produced during fermentation, giving this wine its characteristic gentle sparkle.
In the glass, the wine presents an intense straw yellow with persistent, delicate bubbles. The nose is fruity, intense, and aromatic, with aromas of pear drops and preserved peach. On the palate it is lush and sweet, with fresh fruit-salad notes and a hint of wild herbs on the finish. The balance between its low alcohol content and refreshing acidity gives it a pleasant, approachable lightness.
Best served well chilled at 6–8°C (42–46°F), this Moscato d'Asti excels as an aperitif and pairs beautifully with baked desserts, fresh pastries, cakes, pies, and fruit tarts. Available in 750ML bottles.
