The SONDORS Smart Step LTD is a step-thru folding electric bike designed for comfortable, approachable urban and neighborhood riding. Its low standover aluminum frame folds at the downtube, making it easy to store in a car trunk, closet, or apartment. The LTD edition was sold exclusively through Costco and features a vibrant red colorway.

Power comes from a Bafang rear-mounted geared hub motor rated at 350 watts nominal (450 watts peak), activated by either a 5-level cadence-sensing pedal assist system or a variable thumb throttle. The high-resolution 12-magnet cadence sensor engages nearly instantly with minimal delay. The integrated 36V 10.4Ah LG lithium-ion battery pack delivers an estimated range of 20 to 30 miles per charge with a 4-hour recharge time using the included 3-amp charger. Top assisted speed is 20 mph, classifying it as a Class 2 eBike.

The 6061 aluminum alloy step-thru frame pairs with an 80mm coil suspension fork and 27.5" x 3.0" CST plus-sized tires for a plush, forgiving ride on city streets and light trails. A 7-speed Shimano Tourney drivetrain with RevoShift grip shifter keeps gear changes intuitive. Tektro Aries mechanical disc brakes with 160mm rotors and built-in motor inhibitors cut motor power instantly when the levers are pulled. Internal cable routing gives the bike a clean, polished appearance.

The cockpit centers a 3.5-inch grayscale LCD display visible in direct sunlight, showing current speed, assist level (1–5), battery charge, odometer, and trip distance. Integrated front and rear LED lights, a built-in horn, and a USB charging port are included. A Selle Royal gel saddle, ergonomic locking rubber grips, Wellgo folding platform pedals, a rust-resistant stainless steel chain, and an adjustable center-mounted kickstand complete the package.
