Wilderness Trail Kentucky Straight Wheated Bourbon is a flagship bottled-in-bond whiskey from Wilderness Trail Distillery in Kentucky. Crafted to challenge traditional bourbon-making techniques, it features one of the highest wheat ratios in Kentucky bourbon production, with a mash bill of 64% corn, 24% wheat, and 12% malted barley.

Bottled at 100 proof under U.S. Government supervision, this bourbon was the first bottled-in-bond wheated sweet mash bourbon released since Prohibition. The higher wheat percentage in place of rye produces a distinctively smooth, grain-forward character. On the nose, expect sweet vanilla and charred oak. The palate opens with caramel and vanilla, moving into a cordial meeting of oak, cinnamon, and blood orange with a rich, palate-coating mouthfeel. The finish is long and sweet, with notes of oak spices, toffee, and dark fruits.
