Kirkland Signature Wild Pacific Cod Loin is a premium cut of wild-caught Pacific cod sourced from Alaskan waters, sold fresh per pound at the Costco meat and seafood counter. The loin cut comes from the thickest, meatiest section of the fish, making it one of the most desirable portions for cooking.
Pacific cod is a mild, delicate white fish with a slightly higher moisture content than Atlantic cod, yielding a tender, flaky texture when properly cooked. The fish is boneless and skinless, requiring minimal preparation before cooking. As a previously frozen product, it has been thawed for in-store display and should be cooked within one to two days of purchase.
Wild Pacific cod is exceptionally lean and high in protein, making it an excellent choice for health-conscious consumers. It adapts well to a wide variety of cooking techniques including pan-searing, baking, poaching, grilling, and air frying. The mild flavor pairs well with butter, lemon, herbs, or seasoned sauces such as marinara.
