Valravn Pinot Noir is a value-driven Sonoma County red wine crafted by winemaker Rob Fischer, who evolved the brand from Banshee Wines with the goal of producing something genuinely worth drinking at an accessible price. Each bottle blends fruit from two premier California appellations: approximately 70% from sustainably farmed, hand-harvested vineyards in the Green Valley Russian River AVA, and 30% from declassified barrels sourced from the Sonoma Coast AVA Marine Layer project.
The wine is made using cold soaking, wild yeast fermentation in open-top stainless steel tanks with 25% whole-cluster inclusion, and aged approximately 10โ11 months in French oak (a mix of new, second-use, and neutral barrels). The result is a dark ruby-colored Pinot Noir with aromas of Luxardo-style black cherry, wild strawberry, cranberry, pomegranate, rose petal, and warm baking spice. On the palate it is medium-bodied with a silky texture, juicy red fruits, subtle bramble and darker berry notes, fine-grained tannins, and a bright coastal acidity. This Costco case offering includes 12 bottles of 750ml each.
