Masterfully crafted by winemaker Thomas Rivers Brown from 100% Cabernet Sauvignon sourced from superior Oakville vineyard lots, this wine is aged in 54% new French oak and 46% second-use Schrader Darnajou French oak barrels, developing layers of complexity, structure, and depth. ABV: 14.0%.

On the nose, the wine leaps from the glass with ripe blackberry, cassis, black cherry, and red plum, with a lovely herbaceous undertone. The palate delivers juicy red and black fruits with hints of black tea, damp earth, vanilla bean, lavender, and a touch of flint. Fine-grained tannins and mouthwatering acidity linger through a long, floral finish. The wine is approachable upon release and will cellar beautifully for years to come. The 2019 vintage earned 94 points from Wine Spectator and was named the #1 Wine of 2022.
