My Way is a single-dose emergency contraceptive tablet containing 1.5 mg of levonorgestrel, a synthetic progestin. It is designed to reduce the chance of pregnancy when taken as soon as possible within 72 hours after unprotected sex or contraceptive failure. The sooner My Way is taken after unprotected sex, the more effectively it works.

My Way works primarily by delaying or inhibiting ovulation. It may also work by preventing fertilization of an egg or by preventing a fertilized egg from attaching to the uterus. It is not intended for use as a regular method of birth control and will not terminate an existing pregnancy. My Way does not protect against HIV infection or other sexually transmitted diseases.
