Brassfield Estate Cabernet Sauvignon is a 100% estate-grown Cabernet Sauvignon sourced from multiple high-elevation vineyards — including Monte Sereno, Rattlesnake Ridge, Block 14, Volcano Ridge, High Serenity Ranch, and Ridgeline — all situated at 1,800 feet of elevation and above in the High Valley AVA of Lake County, California. Family owned, estate grown, produced, and bottled by Brassfield Estate Winery, this is a wine built to showcase the distinctive character of one of California's most exciting mountain appellations.
The wine is aged in French and Hungarian oak for 18 months, contributing structure and complexity. It opens with aromatic waves of anise, mocha, and brambly summer blackberries, leading to a palate that explodes with layered and elegant fruit. Rich and soft, with flavors of black cherry, plum, anise, and blackberry, the wine is backed by structured, gripping tannins and hints of cedar and cinnamon that add sophistication. The finish is long, satisfying, and buzzes with the essence of volcanic terroir. At 15.4% alcohol, this is a full-bodied, age-worthy Cabernet that rewards patience in the glass. Rated 94 points by Wine Enthusiast. Pairs beautifully with a classic filet mignon or hearty red meat dishes.
