Gelida Brut Gran Reserva is a traditional method Cava from the Penedès region of Catalonia, Spain, produced by Vins el Cep. It is crafted from a blend of 35% Xarel·lo, 25% Macabeo, 20% Parellada, and 20% Chardonnay, spending approximately 40 months aging on the lees before disgorgement — well beyond the minimum required for Gran Reserva designation.

All vineyards are certified organic and estate-owned. Vins el Cep was the first producer in Spain to employ biodynamic farming practices. The wine undergoes secondary fermentation in the bottle using the Traditional Method (Méthode Champenoise), giving it a fine persistent mousse and notable complexity.

On the palate, the wine delivers complex citrus flavors — lemon zest, green apple, and grapefruit — with a toasty, brioche-like finish from extended lees contact. It is elegant, clean, and linear in style, making it an excellent value alternative to Champagne for celebrations or pairing with seafood, oysters, and light appetizers.
