Lavinea Pinot Noir from the Eola-Amity Hills appellation in Oregon's Willamette Valley. Founded by Isabelle Meunier and Greg Ralston, Lavinea focuses on some of the oldest, most renowned vineyard sources in the Willamette Valley, crafting wines that express site-specific terroir. Isabelle Meunier is one of Oregon's most acclaimed winemakers, with her wines selected for the Wine Spectator Top 100 from 2009 through 2015.
The 2022 vintage has received outstanding critical acclaim, earning a 94-point score from Wine Spectator, who described it as "dynamic and deeply structured" with "multilayered flavors of cherry and cranberry laced with fresh violet and forest floor accents." Jeb Dunnuck awarded 93 points, noting its "beautifully elegant and pure profile with notes of cherry liqueur, candied roses, sweet herbs, and dusty earth." Additional scores include Decanter 92, Vinous 92, James Suckling 91, and Wine Enthusiast 91.
This is a medium-bodied Pinot Noir with 13.4% alcohol, sealed with a traditional cork closure. It features vibrant acidity, elegant structure, ripe tannins, and a long clean finish. Drinking window is now through 2034. 630 cases produced.
