Château Latour is one of the most celebrated First Growth estates in Bordeaux, situated in the prestigious Pauillac appellation on the Left Bank of the Médoc. This listing features the 2012 vintage of the Grand Vin — the estate's flagship wine — sold as a set of three 750ml bottles. Pauillac is renowned for producing deeply colored, full-bodied reds built around Cabernet Sauvignon, and Château Latour exemplifies this character with exceptional intensity and aging potential.
The 2012 vintage is notable in Latour's history as it was the first year the estate withdrew from the Bordeaux en primeur (futures) system, choosing instead to release wines only when they reach peak drinkability. The 2012 Grand Vin was ultimately released in 2020. Expect complex aromas and flavors of cassis, blackcurrant, cedar, tobacco, graphite, and dark earth, with a structured tannic frame that allows for decades of cellaring. The iconic label features the estate's historic 17th-century dovecote tower, a symbol of Latour's centuries-long heritage in Pauillac.
