Louis Jadot's Chorey-lès-Beaune is a classic red Burgundy from the Côte de Beaune sub-region of France, produced by the storied Maison Louis Jadot, one of Burgundy's most celebrated négociants since its founding in 1859. Made entirely from Pinot Noir grapes grown in the Chorey-lès-Beaune village appellation, this wine offers an approachable entry point into the world of red Burgundy, delivering genuine Côte de Beaune character in an approachable, fruit-forward style suited for drinking in its youth.
On the nose, the wine reveals perfumed aromas of red fruits, fresh cherries, raspberries, and flowers, complemented by hints of smoky oak, damp earth, and gentle spice. The palate is medium-bodied with round, supple tannins and good concentration, carrying cherry and raspberry flavors through to a medium-length finish. At 13% alcohol, it presents a balanced, elegant profile characteristic of the Côte de Beaune. Rated 3.9 out of 5 on Vivino with over 1,000 community ratings, and 89 points from CellarTracker reviewers.
This wine pairs beautifully with roasted poultry, veal, beef dishes, and game meats such as venison. Sold in 750ml bottles; available at Costco in cases of 6. Contains sulfites.
