Bodegas Olarra Otoñal Gran Reserva is a classic Spanish red wine from the Rioja DOCa appellation, produced by Bodegas Olarra in Logroño, at the heart of the Rioja region. This Gran Reserva is a blend of 85% Tempranillo, 8% Mazuelo, and 7% Garnacha, bottled at 13.5% ABV.

The wine undergoes a long maceration during fermentation to develop structure and color, then rests for 24 months in large American oak casks before extended bottle aging in the winery's cellars — a hallmark of traditional Rioja Gran Reserva production. The result is a wine that arrives ready to drink yet retains cellaring potential through 2035.

On the nose, it opens with redcurrants, black plum, clove, star anise, allspice, dried orange peel, and rose petal, with a backdrop of resinous herbs including thyme and rosemary. The palate is voluminous, full, and complex, with a dusty cedar plank and tan tobacco note that lingers on the finish. Wine Enthusiast awarded it 94 points, praising flavors of black cherry, purple plum, butterscotch, aniseed, and lavender. The 2016 vintage was rated 95 points by Wine Advocate.

Pairs well with red meat, hard cheese, cured meat, and white meat. Serve at 60°F. Sold in cases of 12 × 750ML bottles.
