The name "Las Alturas" means "the heights" in Spanish, a fitting tribute to the vineyard's position on one of the highest grape-growing benches in the appellation. This 3-liter double magnum bottle is equivalent to four standard 750ml bottles, making it an impressive centerpiece for entertaining.

The vineyard sits nestled between the Santa Lucia Mountains and the western side of the Salinas Valley, where early morning fog rolls in from Monterey Bay before burning off each day, and gusty afternoon winds funnel through from the bay. This uniquely cool yet sun-drenched microclimate produces a Pinot Noir that is robust, expressive, full-bodied, and anchored by firm natural acidity.
