Intercept Red Blend is a bold, full-bodied red wine from Paso Robles, created by NFL Hall of Famer Charles Woodson. This multi-varietal blend features Petite Sirah (35%), Zinfandel (21%), Syrah (17%), Merlot (8%), Mourvedre (6%), Grenache (4%), Malbec (3%), Tannat (2%), Tempranillo (2%), Petit Verdot (1%), and Graciano (1%), aged for 18 months in French and Eastern European oak.
The wine offers aromas of berry cobbler, savory herbs, and caramelized sugar with fine-grained tannins on the mid-palate and a long spicy finish. It is vegan friendly and has an alcohol content of 15.5%. The 2023 vintage earned a Gold Medal at the 2024 San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition.
Pairs well with smoked meats, burgers, t-bone steaks, ribeyes, or Spanish-style tapas.
