This wine harmoniously blends four red Rhône varietals: 45% Mourvèdre, 43% Grenache, 10% Cinsaut, and 2% Syrah, all estate-bottled from Zaca Mesa's vineyards. The wine reveals a dynamic bouquet of red and black fruits, potpourri, and dried herbs on the nose, with aromas that ripen toward candy with notes of plum, raspberry, rose, and violet. On the palate, soft and seductive tannins are energized by flavors of tart spiced plum and cocoa-dusted black cherries, with pencil-shaving minerality enhancing a joyous core of strawberry and cinnamon spice.
