The Singleton of Dufftown 54 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky is an exceptionally rare and luxurious expression from the Paragon of Time Collection, representing one of the oldest releases from The Singleton to date. This 1966 vintage was crafted in Dufftown, the whisky capital of Scotland, in the heart of the renowned Speyside region. The whisky was distilled using traditional methods with barley malted and turned by hand, then aged for over half a century in a European oak butt cask that was slowly hand-filled on October 31, 1966.

To unveil additional layers of exceptional flavor, this Methuselah of a whisky was finished in a single Pedro Ximenez sherry-seasoned cask, adding rich, sweet complexity to the spirit. The result is a mellow yet lively single malt bottled at 88.2 proof (44.1% ABV). Limited to just 235 bottles worldwide, each is housed in a bespoke leather-lined wooden cabinet with a hand-made Baccarat crystal decanter featuring intricate copper detailing crafted by Royal Warrant Holders, Thomas Fattorini.

The nose reveals mellow but fragrant herbal notes of fenugreek leaf and parsley, light licorice, treacle toffee, sweet fruit, and bitter coffee grounds. The palate is surprisingly lively for its great age, offering sweet and fruity flavors with dried figs and peppery-spicy notes. The finish is long, pleasantly warming, and elegantly drying with light black pepper sweetness, fruity and spicy characteristics. The whisky displays a rich, deep, dark amber color with notes of wine, maraschino cherry, hemp, and earthy undertones balanced by sweet fruity aromas.
