Emergency contraceptive tablet containing levonorgestrel 1.5mg manufactured by Major Pharmaceuticals. This one-step emergency contraception helps reduce the chance of pregnancy after unprotected intercourse or contraceptive failure. The medication works by preventing or delaying ovulation and should be taken as soon as possible within 72 hours of unprotected sex for maximum effectiveness.

The active ingredient levonorgestrel is a progestin hormone that prevents pregnancy before it occurs. The sooner the tablet is taken, the more effective it will be. About 7 out of every 8 women who would have gotten pregnant will not become pregnant when taken as directed. This product will not work if already pregnant and does not protect against sexually transmitted infections or HIV. It is not intended for use as regular birth control.

Common side effects may include dizziness, nausea, headache, breast pain, lower abdominal pain, vomiting, or menstrual changes. The tablet should not be chewed or crushed.
