Nelson's Green Brier Sour Mash Tennessee Whiskey is a handcrafted spirit reviving a legendary pre-Prohibition family recipe. After discovering that their triple great-grandfather Charles Nelson was one of the most successful whiskey distillers in 19th-century Tennessee, brothers Andy and Charlie Nelson reopened Nelson's Green Brier Distillery in the heart of Nashville. The whiskey follows Charles Nelson's original recipe, made from a mash bill of corn, wheat, and malted barley, then mellowed through a bed of sugar maple charcoal in the Tennessee tradition — and bottled at 91 proof (45.5% ABV) as an ode to Charles Nelson, who died in 1891.

On the nose, this whiskey is full and warm with notes of caramel, vanilla, cinnamon, and apple. The palate delivers robust brown sugar, cinnamon roll, caramel apple, and a touch of cocoa, while the finish is long with lingering flavors of cinnamon, brown sugar, Gala apple, and black cherry. It is best enjoyed neat, on the rocks, or in your favorite cocktail.
