Long Shadows Sequel is a premium Syrah from Washington State's Columbia Valley, crafted in collaboration with legendary Australian winemaker John Duval, renowned for his work on Penfolds Grange. The wine draws fruit from three distinguished vineyards: Boushey in Yakima Valley for vibrancy, Bacchus Block 5 in White Bluffs for depth, and Sonnet in Horse Heaven Hills for structure, with additional fruit from Red Mountain.

Produced as 100% varietal Syrah with approximately 30% whole cluster fermentation, Sequel is aged 18 months in French oak barrels with 65% new wood. The wine is full-bodied and richly layered, offering complex aromas and flavors of blackberry, cracked pepper, smoked meats, dark chocolate, violets, and graphite. It is built for both immediate enjoyment and extended cellaring of 10 to 15 years.

Sequel has been produced since 2003 and consistently earns scores of 90 to 98 points from leading critics including Jeb Dunnuck, Wine Advocate, Wine Enthusiast, Vinous, and James Suckling. It is widely regarded as one of the finest Syrahs produced in Washington State.
