Glengoyne 50 Year Old is a supremely rare Highland single malt Scotch whisky representing the ultimate expression of the distillery's philosophy of slow, patient craftsmanship. Only 150 bottles were released worldwide, with just 20 allocated to the United States, making this one of the most exclusive whisky releases in recent memory.

The whisky was created by carefully vatting together some of the oldest casks from Glengoyne's warehouses. These casks were first married in 1997 and continued maturing in American Oak Sherry butts and refill hogsheads, undergoing a final marrying in 2020 — the year of bottling. The result is a whisky of extraordinary depth and complexity, bottled at 45.8% ABV.

On the nose, classic Glengoyne character shines through with red apple aromas complemented by demerara sugared walnuts and wafts of sweet pipe tobacco and cloves. The palate opens with a rich, spicy oak burst before molasses, treacle, and liquorice take centre stage. The finish is exceptionally long, moving through savoury characteristics into a lingering tingle of black pepper. The bottle is presented in a collectible presentation box that is itself considered a work of art.
