Made from 100% Vidal grapes, this estate-bottled VQA wine offers intense aromas of honey, apricot, and flower gardens in full bloom. On the palate, mouth-coating flavors of honey, apricots, peach, mango, syrup, and candied brown sugar lead to a long, smooth finish. While definitely sweet, the balancing acidity reflects careful winemaking.

The Vidal grape is the most popular variety used for Canadian icewine production. VQA regulations specify that icewine grapes cannot be picked until temperatures reach at least -8°C, but Château des Charmes prefers to wait until -10°C to -12°C to ensure every drop of water in the grapes is completely frozen, concentrating the sugars and flavors.
